Fall Tutoring Schedule

Language Arts Tutoring

For the Fall 2023 Semester, we will focus on approaching literary analysis in a fun, interactive way. We will practice literary analysis together and recommend encouraging your students to apply their skills to books they are reading at home. Stimulating Language Arts games and activities will be included in this program. We will provide resources for parents to assist in applying what is being learned at Haven Tutoring Courses to their students' work at home.

Pre-Algebra & Geometry Tutoring

This tutoring course, taught by Karla Schlatter, will be addressing pre-algebra and geometry readiness.  Wherever your student is on the math spectrum, the games and activities in this tutoring session will assist them in their math fact fluency. It will introduce them to problem solving strategies that will equip them as they get prepare for upper-level math such as pre-algebra or algebra.

Geography Tutoring

With veteran tutor Ann Newcomer, your student can look forward to stimulating projects and games as we delve into geography tutoring - this course will enrich your student's learning experience! Students will be given projects to broaden their geography knowledge as they focus on North and South America the first semester of tutoring, and the other five continents in the spring semester.

Language Arts Tutoring

For the Spring 2024 Semester of tutoring, we will focus on using our new literary analysis skills in fun, interactive ways through novel studies. Led by Karla Schlatter, students will be given individualized assignments to continue building their language arts skills. Each week we will review grammar rules, as well as study idioms together. We will provide resources for parents to assist in applying what is being learned at Haven Tutoring Courses to their students' school work.

Pre-Algebra & Geometry Tutoring

This tutoring course, taught by Karla Schlatter, will be focused on helping students master divisibility rules and helping them apply these skills to each students' individual math skill level. We will  be focusing on helping students with word problem vocabulary and strategies, as well as incorporating art and STEM activities to geometry concepts. Wherever your student is on the math spectrum, the games and activities in this tutoring session will assist them in their math fluency.

Geography Tutoring

With veteran tutor Ann Newcomer, your student can look forward to stimulating projects and games as we delve into geography tutoring - this course will enrich your student's learning experience! Students will be given projects to broaden their geography knowledge as they focus on the continents of Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, and Europe this spring semester.
